Wei Luo

Wei is Managing Attorney at Thickstun Luo LLC. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, graduating summa cum laude and first in his class. Wei won the President’s Medallion, the university’s highest honor, bestowed by the university’s president on one law student per year for exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service. During law school, he wrote on the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal, tutored criminal law, and externed with a federal judge and the U.S. Air Force.

Prior to law school, Wei earned a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government. At Harvard, he was the Editor-in-Chief of The Citizen­—Harvard Kennedy School’s official student newspaper. Wei also served as a Mayoral Fellow for the Chicago Mayor’s Office and as a Teaching Fellow for Harvard’s Department of Economics, teaching a year-long economics class to Harvard undergraduates. In recognition of his service, Harvard’s Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning awarded him the Certificate of Distinction in Teaching.

Wei attended the University of Chicago for his undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with General Honors. Wei is a legal scholar—in addition to being a practitioner—and has published a number of academic articles in American law journals.
